- Food and Drink - There is a wide range of pubs in the area, many with restaurants, providing excellent snacks and meals; village shops near by and a local taxi service. However, evening meals are available upon request. Our commitment is towards fresh, organic and fairly traded produce. We aim to buy fresh fruit and vegetables and as seasonally as is possible - from local suppliers if we can- our eggs are locally produced and free range (gluten and wheat free bread, cereals and pasta are always available). All our food is prepared and cooked with a lot of care. We are able to cater for most diets given notice (vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian), with a little advance notice we can cater just for you.
Breakfast: Served in the Dining Room - choice of full English breakfast or Continental
We are happy to gently tap the door with a tray of tea/coffee as an early morning call.
Lunch and Evening Meals: By arrangement
Menu would include fish, meats, nuts, salads or vegetables, and a variety of fruits and puddings.

Tewkesbury: Black and White market town, where the Rivers Avon and Severn converge - with the amazing Tewkesbury Abbey and Roses Theatre.
Cheltenham theatres including the Everyman Theatre, the Pittville Pump Room and Town Hall are less than 30 minutes distance
Town of Newent - 3 miles away - hosting the Newent Falconry Centre and the annual Onion Fayre
May Hill - 3 miles distant - a beautiful, significant scenic beacon hill, with a hundred trees atop - beautiful panoramic scenery over the Bristol channel and over the Welsh borderlands and into Wales
Ledbury is a black and white market town, with a variety of unique shops and boutiques several book shops and hosts the annual Poetry Festival, (with poets from all over the world attending each year).
Ledbury was the home of John Masefield (poet laureate and author), and Elizabeth Barret Browning who was married to Robert Browning (both poets). Many local orchards and Westerns Cider is made just outside the town.

Eastnor Castle - beautiful fairy-tale Castle - a 15 minute drive from Durbridge Lodge, hosts the annual 'Big Chill' in August, and a variety of events throughout the year.
Dymock - about 3 miles distant is a village which hosted a group of poets during the first part of the last Century, prior to and including the First World War - and includes poets such as Lascelles Abercrombie, Rupert Brooke, Edward Thomas, Robert Frost, Wylfred Wilson Gibson, John Drinkwater, Eleanor Farjeon.
The villages and area surrounding 'Durbridge Lodge' and through to Dymock are renowned for the beautiful wild daffodils, which adorn the fields and verges during Springtime each year.
Malvern: Beautiful spa town, former home of Sir Edward Elgar and Nigel Kennedy. The magnificent Malvern Hills, which inspired Eglar and which span across 12 miles on the border of Hereford and Worcester, with stunning views across many counties.
Hosting the Priory Church, Malvern Theatres and the beautiful adjacent park, the Malvern Winter Gardens.
Cheltenham: Regency town, famous for its Georgian crescents and excellent shopping, beautiful parks.
Birthplace to Gustov Holst, and hosts the 'Everyman Theatre' - 'The Playhouse' - 'Bacon Theatre' - 'Stagecoach Theatre' - the Performing Arts School. Hosts the Annual Cheltenham Literary Festival and the famous Cheltenham Races.
Hereford City: Half an hour distance - home of Hereford Cathedral and which hosts the original 'mappa mundi', home to Bulmers Cider (countryside is famed for it's local apple orchards, the Hereford breed of cattle and the famous 'black and white trail' of villages with black and white timber framed housing, idylic duck ponds and is less densly populated - also home to the 'Courtyard Theatre'.
Gloucester City, some 20 minutes drive away has the 'Gloucester Quays' shopping Centre along the docks, and of course, Gloucester Cathedral.
